It is really a problem for Dragon to address.

I used to use it and when I upgraded my OD to XP Pro, Dragon told me that my program would not work in it and I need to buy a new copy (upgrade).

Just phone the help line on the back of the box and they will answer all of your questions.

You probably will have to upgrade (that’s how they make their money), but I would look for a patch at their website. You might have to bite the bullet and pay for a transcription service. I found it cheaper and more convenient when I’m in the field working as a forensic examiner.

OK go here http://www.nuance.com/vista you will see that there is already patched versions of Dragon version 9 compatible with vista for Dragon Standard and Preferred.

Now I am under good advice that the Professional edition is being worked on right now and is not to far away. Its the most complex version and therefore the hardest to make VISTA compatible. Given that the medical version is just a add on vocab for Dragon pro then I would expect that the normal Professional Vista patch will be the one for you.
