Question by Curious Joe: Can I get some tips on public speaking?
I’m giving a seminar on science to a bunch of teens in about a month, and I’ve never really spoken to a big crowd (at least, not very well). I’m expecting between 100-200 students for the seminar.
What are some tips and tricks I can employ to articulate clearly and effectively?
The seminar has to be about an hour long, and I have to give it three times.
Thankfully, I will have a co-presenter so the pressure isn’t entirely on me.

You need to have detailed information on the sectors, age groups and calliber of your audience and than prepare your speech so that a majority can relate to it and understand.
Also audience participation, every 20 to 30 minutes is a good thing to keep them interested
Plus, add a hint of humor or wit to keep refreshing the atmosphere and keep people entertained but just a bit of it, in between the lines to cathch and control audience attention
Lastly, just be your self, you are on the stage cause you know more than those sitting there to hear you say it. So be confident and passionate about it and it will show in your eyes when you speak.
